Simon Hunt, Director (IPSO Ventures Plc)
Simon trained as a corporate lawyer, specialising in corporate finance and M&A as well as intellectual property law, before moving into venture capital management with Gartmore Investment Management Limited, focusing on technology mainly in the US. He later added public company investment banking experience including corporate finance and M&A, together with operational experience through running a public company. Simon has worked with companies at all stages of their development both in the UK and the US.
Tim Carter, Director (IPSO Ventures Plc)
Tim is Commercialisation Manager at Ipso Ventures. He has strong experience of early stage technology commercialisation, having been involved in technology management and the creation and growth of spin out companies while at Queen Mary University of London and other research institutions before joining Ipso.
Jo Derbyshire, Director (Loughborough University Enterprises Ltd)
Jo is Head of Innovation & Business Creation within Loughborough University Enterprises. She is responsible for spin out strategy and development within the University and sits on the board of several start ups. Jo is also Managing Director of Loughborough Innovation Centre where many of these companies are incubated.
Dr David Mulvaney, Director and Founder Engineer
David is Senior Lecturer in Electronic & Electrical Engineering, Loughborough University, and Head of the Electronic Systems Design Group. He is also Director of the University’s Electronics and Software Engineering Programme sponsored by ARM.

Jitu brings eleven years of engineering, business development and sales experience in the electronic design automation (EDA) industry with several leading companies in the UK and the US. He has a strong technical and business understanding of the semiconductor market including design tools, services, flows, methodologies, systems, software and silicon IP.
Dr Robert Thomson, Technical Manager and Founder Engineer
Robert is a versatile postdoctoral engineer leading the technology development programme within Axilica. His skills and experience encompass software engineering and UML, programming, hardware design, EDA tool development and hardware optimisation.
Dr Vassilios Chouliaras, Consultant and Founder Engineer
Vassilios is Senior Lecturer in Microelectronics and Computer Architecture at Loughborough University.
